It's MONDAY!
You all know what that means...
Like I already mentioned I spent most of last week, and this past weekend for that matter, in bed. I was sick. You know, the hit you like a brick wall kind of sick? Yep that was me. After trying to tough it (and by it I mean 103+ temp, stiff neck, body chills, sore throat...you get the picture right?) out for a little over 24 hours, enough was enough. Friday morning the boyfriend took me into the ER (he later told me he honestly thought I was on my death bed...aka--I had to have been looking mighty fine. Great way to test out if he's in for the long haul right? Ha.). Once I got there they were worried it might be mono or meningitis, but turns out it was just a big old case of strep throat. Oh, and when the doctor walks out of the room after looking at your throat and says "That's nasty!" before he even has time to shut the door. Well, then you know it's kind of bad. On the plus side, I dropped 10+ pounds during the week. Way to jump start the old swimsuit diet, eh?
I guess what I am trying to say is, there was absolutely NO sewing/blogging/
anything fun going on over here. And, I apologize for not commenting/replying on all of last week's link-ups. So changing it up a bit this week, here are some of the wonderful projects that were linked up last week.

Oh, and before I forget...THANK YOU so much for all the nice comments you all left over the weekend! I had no energy to even be on the computer, but having those little comments pop up on my BlackBerry definitely brightened my day. So again, THANK YOU!
All right, check out these great modern projects...
Love this quilt from Beauty in the Details.
I am a sucker for all things Amy Butler.
Did you see this fabulous mini quilt from Don't Call Me Betsy?
Pretty flippin' cool!
Or how about this quilt from Needle and Spatula.
Check out that hand quilting!
Ok, hit it! If you need a little reminder, here are the rules.
Whew, that sounds awful! I hope you're 100% soon. I had strep last year, and a few months later I had the H1N1 flu, and I'm telling you strep was worse!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you were so sick! :-( I'm sure the wait in the ER didn't help any either. I hope this week will be a really good week for you as you turn the corner!
ReplyDeleteBoy, I sure hope you're feeling better now! Being sick is just the worst sometimes. Good to hear that your boyfriend was good and helpful, though, you're right, that is a good test for the long haul. Thanks for featuring my little bookshelf mini-quilt - it's the kick in the pants I needed to get started on the darn tute I've promised!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are at least up and at the computer! Hope you are back to healthy soon. I seriously lol'd at "that's nasty"! What a professional!
ReplyDeleteOh no, sorry to hear you were sick, hope you are feeling better! Thanks for mentioning my quilt :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better and up for sewing and any fun by the end of the week!
