i found this Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns (new!) while shopping at a LQS Super Bowl Weekend! it's been out of print since 1993 and it's hard to come by online, so when i nabbed it for around $20 i was super excited! i think it's going to be a great quilty reference book for years to come.
i'm still trucking away on my HST+hexagon project. i've decided to turn into a mini quilt and i'm hoping to finish it up for the Modern Mini Challenge with Jennifer of Ellison Lane Quilts.
have any of you heard about the green monster smoothies? well i'm ADDICTED to these things! it's basically a nutrient packed smoothie with frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, milk, and spinach. my favorite combination is 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup frozen blue berries, 8 oz. of greek yogurt, 1/2 cup of skim milk, and 3 cups of fresh spinach. yummy! they are so tasty!
i booked my flight to SLC for Sewing Summit this week. i can't wait to travel with my good friend Jeni!
what have you been up to lately?
xo, megan.
Ooh, you lucky dog! I would love that book! I checked on Amazon for the heck of it since I still haven't spent a gift card I got for Christmas. Yeah, no such luck. You've been to the Sewing Summit, right? Would you recommend leaving Wednesday night to be there for Thursday? I noticed you're waiting to come back on Sunday...
ReplyDeleteYour hexies look fabulous. My friend just informed me today that The Encyclopedia is expensive on ebay--I got my copy about a month ago for hardly anything. Whew. That never happens! And the Green Monster--everyone seems to love it. The spinach (which I love in salad) is what puts me off, but it's still good, huh?
ReplyDeleteYour hexies are wonderful!
ReplyDeletei am loving those hexies!
ReplyDeleteHi Megan! Looks great book! I love your small hexies!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day! x Teje
We are doing the green smoothies too! except no dairy in ours - just frozen fruit, spinach, water, and a little oj for flavor... so yummy!
ReplyDeleteOoh, have fun with your new book!
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to ask, about what time will things properly kick off on Thursday for Sewing Summit? I have several flight choices, but a number of them don't arrive in SLC until about 7pm. There's one that I can get that will get me there for 2pm, but I'd have to spend the night before in Paris.
The book is a total score!! Awesome, Megan! And I'm so excited for your Sewing Summit venture. I'm not sure if I'll make it this year, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously, I love your hexagaon project. It looks wonderful!
The book looks wonderful and the hexies are gorgeous! Love the backing too! :)
ReplyDeletelove the hexies. Do I need to be worried about Sewing Summit and the ticket sales. They aren't available yet, right? Are we doing a day early for shopping? I missed that last time and don't want to miss it this time.
