hello, everyone! i hope you all had a wonderful weekend! i enjoyed a relaxing weekend at home -- just the way i like. which meant i was finally able to catch up on some sleep (thankfully!), laundry+housework, and some sewing of course! after spending last week with the small children, i was long over due for some quality sewing time!
remember when i mentioned i had some serious spring fever going on? this new mini quilt is a perfect example! i decided to pull some of my 2.5" squares i had already cut for my granny square quilt, so this mini quilt went together in half a day -- even with a little quilting mishap involved!
i chose to quilt this mini using an all over wavy organic quilting and i love the end result! the crisp white stitches might actually be my favorite part about this mini quilt. plus, the close quilting lines -- about 1/4" -- make for a fun texture on the back!
i used a bit of Patty Young's Lush for the binding and the creamsicle color reminds me of warmer weather! i think i'm going to have to pick up some more of this fabric to use for future bindings -- i ordered mine from Fat Quarter Shop.
quilt stats.
name: spring fever mini quilt.

as my DS mini quilt and this quilt.
quilted: by me, using wavy organic lines.
now it's your turn! do you have a recent modern sewing finish? then link it on up -- but please, be sure to link back to Canoe Ridge Creations somewhere in your blog post.
